Oak Lane Day School's mission is to honor each child's unique individuality while fostering intellectual, creative, academic, and personal growth within a diverse community of active, engaged learners. Small class sizes and an atmosphere that encourages children to develop their academic and social skills are priorities at Oak Lane, where learning is a meaningful and joyous pursuit.

Oak Lane's country-like property of 30 acres along Butler Pike and Stenton Avenue boasts a stream, pond, woods, meadows, and specimen trees that provide a background for science studies. Athletic fields and playgrounds augment a physical education program that often utilizes these outdoor areas.

Preschool through 6th grade classrooms are located in the Perch Hankin Classroom Building. Also housed in the Hankin Classroom Building are the library and technology facilities that are accessible to students, teachers and administrators. With over 7,000 volumes of books, the library facilitates student learning and encourages individual growth through the use of print and non-print material. The Leah Cutler Gymnasium provides space for indoor activities, and the Barn houses our music, science, art and drama programs.

Oak Lane offers Art, Language Arts, Math, Music, Physical Education, Science and Social Studies for all grade levels. Foreign Language is offered as an age-appropriate, academic supplement in the Extended Day Program.
