The
Admission Procedure begins with
a parent visit to Oak Lane and meeting with the Director of Admissions.
You will have the opportunity to tour our facilities, visit classes, and
talk informally about our program and your child. The next steps in the
process include the following:
| 1. |
Fill out
the Application
Form and return it to Oak Lane Day School, along with the
$50 application fee. |
2. |
Complete the Parent
Interview Form and return it to Oak Lane. |
3. |
Ask
your child's current teacher to submit the Confidential Recommendation
Form (applicants to Pre-kindergarten
through Grade 1 or Grades
2 through 6). |
4. |
If your child is applying
to Grades 1 and up, request that copies of grade reports be sent to
Oak Lane (Records
Request). |
5. |
The Director of Admissions will contact
you to schedule your child's visit to Oak Lane. Visits range from
one morning to two days, depending on the age of the applicant. |
6. |
For children applying to Grades 1
through 6, schedule a psycho-educational screening (Oak Lane requires
submission of the WISC-IV). This can be facilitated at the school
during your child's visit or you can make private arrangements. |
| 7. |
When all of the paperwork has been
received and the student visit is completed, the Oak Lane admissions
committee will meet to review the file. You will be notified shortly
after the decision is made. |
