Oak Lane Day School is an independent, co-ed elementary school that honors each child's unique individuality while fostering intellectual, creative, academic and personal growth within a diverse community of active, engaged learners. Conceived as a place where all students would be welcome regardless of race, religion or nationality, Oak Lane was founded on the principles of progressive education. The ideal of individualized education to serve a diverse and inclusive student population has shaped Oak Lane to this day. Our teaching heritage includes a strong emphasis on the arts and music. Oak Lane is nestled on a 30-acre country campus in Blue Bell, Pennsylvania, at the intersection of Stenton Avenue and Butler Pike in Whitpain Township, and is in close proximity to Chestnut Hill and Mount Airy. The School's pastoral environment is warm, serene and inviting to children, and rapidly becomes a second home for our students.
