What are you doing this summer? The Camp at Oak Lane Day School is a nurturing environment that enriches, stimulates, and encourages curiosity in every child. The campus at Oak Lane offers a 30-acre site consisting of streams, a pond, woods, athletic fields, play equipment, and two pool facilities complete with separate changing rooms for boys and girls. The main building has air-conditioned rooms (“bunks”) used by the campers, a library, computers and health room. The barn offers a gym, music room, art studio and science lab. Adult counselors are paired with junior counselors to assist the campers in their various groups and activities. Our swimming instructors are American Red Cross certified, and the adult staff and counselors are CPR certified.

Campers 3 to 7 years of age rotate through various specials such as art, sports, environmental exploration, music, and recreational and instructional swimming. 5-7 year old campers also have week-long projects and enjoy trips, such as miniature golf and bowling. Campers 8 to 12 years of age have a choice of activities that last a week at a time. They have two “Choice Times” daily. Instructors offer choices in their specialty areas including watercolors, pond exploration, volleyball, song-writing, rocketry, print-making, basketball, gymnastics and more. Some of the field trips taken in the past have been to a water park, tubing on the Delaware River, miniature golf, and bowling. Swimming is also a part of the campers’ day.
